Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra for a club-record fee in a deal worth a reported £30million. The club
have sold Jobe Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund and are looking to replace him in midfield, with the
21-year-old having scored four goals and provided five assists in 33 appearances in all competitions. His form has earned him a move to the Premier League.
The Black Cats have agreed an initial fee of £27m for the player, with a further £3m in add-ons. “

said Diarra, who joined Strasbourg at the age of 14. And has progressed quickly through the ranks at senior level, making his debut aged 17.
The 21-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with Sunderland after making 31 appearances for Strasbourg last season, as the club. Which is coached by Liam Rosenior finished seventh in Ligue 1 and qualified to play in Europe for just the second time in 20 years.
