Napoli are in talks with Benfica to sign Brazilian football winger David Neres, who is wanted by new manager Antonio Conte.

Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia reports that Conte is planning to bring in Neres to bolster his attacking options. And Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna is now in talks with Benfica UFABET 

Neres is reportedly contracted to Benfica until June 2027 and has a €100m release clause. Although in reality it is more likely an agreement will be reached for around €25-30m. With the 27-year-old winger keen on a move to Serie A.

Meanwhile, Conte’s main target remains center forward Romelu Lukaku. With Manna currently in talks to reach an agreement with Chelsea. Regardless of the sale of Victor Osimhen as his first priority.

For Napoli’s reinforcements this summer, there are three new players, all defenders: Rafa Marin from Real Madrid for 12 million euros. Leonardo Spinazzola on a free transfer and Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino for 35 million euros.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli have now reached an agreement to sign Neres for €30m with add-ons.

The 27-year-old winger is set to fly to Italy today (Sunday) and will undergo a medical with the Azzurri on Monday. Before putting pen to paper on a deal to bolster Antonio Conte’s attacking options.
